Conference Board Gearing Up For 2008 Weekend With New Members, New Officer Team

(Wilsonville, OR) – Oregon’s longest running grassroots political conference is set for another year of policy debates, speeches and socializing. Dorchester XLIV will take place on February 29 – March 2, 2008, in Seaside, Oregon. The coastal town will welcome hundreds of delegates for the 44th annual conference.

In preparation for the 2008 conference, the Dorchester Board of Directors has elected a new team officers and added a few new members to the board.

New board members are: Allison Bruun, Legislative Assistant to State Representative Scott Bruun, and Tim Lyman, real estate broker and consultant.

Officers for Dorchester XLIV are: President – State Representative Linda Flores, Vice President Angela Wilhelms, Treasurer – Matt Lowe, Secretary – Becky Tymchuk, Past President – Jim Parker.

Other members of the board of directors are: John Aguirre, Bruce Anderson, Tim Bernasek, Rick Campbell, Grace Ishida, Deirdre Molander, John Patterson, Marla Rae, Dennis Tooley, and Gail Wilhelms.

The Dorchester Conference, founded in 1964, is a unique grassroots political conference. It provides a forum for hundreds of people from across Oregon to discuss current issues, interact with elected officials, learn about politics and have fun on the Oregon Coast.
