Occupy Portland or Understand Capitalism?

Today is the beginning (and maybe the end) of another attempt by disparate groups and individuals to make their complaints about our economic system known in Portland. Following on the heels of Occupy Wall Street in New York City, Portland’s version may have its own “Keep Portland Weird” flavor. Whatever happens today and in the days ahead, one thing is clear: The “occupiers” do not have a clear understanding of capitalism.

You, on the other hand, have the opportunity to meet and hear one of the best speakers in the world on the virtues of capitalism. Please join Cascade to hear CATO Institute’s Dr. Tom Palmer discuss his new book, The Morality of Capitalism: How Free Markets Create Justice and Prosperity. You will learn about the basic virtue of capitalism and why it is a key to economic success. And, the cost of the event includes a copy of the book as well, so RSVP today!!
