Candidate filing update: Seats filling fast

Former teacher and General contractor Randy Uchytil has filed for House seat #41 held by Democrat Carolyn Tomei. It is a healthy Democrat seat (Milwaukie-Portland area) , but it is noted because Tomei has not even had a challenger for many years. With today being filing day, eyes are on how many seats both parties can fill in unexpected areas to keep the political battle as wide as possible.

We have the “Olson twins” Dick Olsen challenging incumbent Andy Olson (R) in Albany. We have the battling Italians Tony Marino challenging incumbent Larry Galizio (D) in District #35 (Tigard). Also note five candidates have filed to run for Diane Rosenbuam’s open House seat (#42) as Diane heads to the Senate.

And what may be our most exciting race in Oregon this year we have Matt “The Law” Lindland (Ultimate Fighting star and former Olympic silver medalist) running for the seat that Patti Smith is vacating.

I would not refer to Dick Olsen and Andy Olson as twins…..Andy is about the nicest person one could ever meet. Dick insults pro business members who wish to speak to the city council….many times the insults take place before the member of the public can reach to microphone……This race is…..the nicest guy in State politics….against a city council member who lacks class.

    Andy Olson by 30 points.
