The Hill is reporting [2] that Rick Santorum will drop out of the presidential race this afternoon.
The Hill notes that this will essentially guarantee Mitt Romney the GOP nomination. The article also provides a delegate count: “It takes 1,144 [delegates] to clinch the GOP nomination. [Romney] has 661 delegates, according to a count by the Associated Press. Santorum has 285, Gingrich has 136 and Paul has 51.”
