The Hill is reporting [2] that Newt Gingrich is dropping out of the presidential race today. Gingrich did not give his endorsement to Mitt Romney, but he did indicate he felt Mitt Romney was a much better choice than Barack Obama.
Gingrich said “I’m asked sometimes, is Mitt Romney conservative enough. And my answer is simple: ‘Compared to Barack Obama?'”, and Gingrich said the election was not “a choice between Mitt Romney and Ronald Reagan, it’s a choice between Mitt Romney and the most radical leftist president in American history.”
With Gingrich dropping out, only Mitt Romney and Ron Paul remain as Republican presidential candidates.
