Steve Doell shocked by Judge asking State to bail out rapist.

On Katu-2 news on Wednesday night, Crime Victims United spokesman Steve Doell commented that he has never seen anything like it. The case is a judge that has asked the Department of Human Services to post $50,000 bail to a prisoner so he can help his 13 year old son. The prisoner is behind bars for getting young girls drunk and raping them (with the help of his 19-year old son who also is behind bars).

Doell further commented that if the man “[C]ouldn’t take care of his 19 year old son how could he help his 13-year old?”.

Judge? What a sad, sad joke.

  • A Victims Mother

As a mother of one of his victims, I am disgusted. What was she thinking!

This is why we need victim’s rights in Oregon, because the system makes leaps to the defense of criminals at the pain, cost and expense of the victims.

Wouldn’t simply requiring a judge to undergo certification as not a complete idiot accomplish the same thing?

Oh wait, that’s right. This is Oregon, where we have some of the highest unemployment with the country heading into rough financial times and the state thinks its a good idea to start up a campaign to aggressively advertise video poker and slot games and pick up some new players.

Well, at least we made assisted suicide legal. That should help.

Why do nto otehr judges say anything when their collegues misbehave. I guess Steve Doell is our watchdog until that day comes.
