The great Snow Crisis of 2008 has begun!

When the snow didn’t appear on Saturday the critics scoffed, now in just a few hours this morning the Metro region has been wrought with snow.

All of society’s worst drivers are now hitting the roads for a test drive and slamming into each other (or soemtimes slamming into good drivers who compulsive shoppers and couldn’t stay home). Thousands of Oregon’s most proficient procrastinators are storming tire centers all over the area chosing now, yes now, as the time to buy snow tires.

The most wonderful time of the year!!!!

Hey we got 2 inches in Central Oregon too… but no nutcases, idiot drivers or widespread panic.

Just another sunny day in paradise. With snow.

Oh how I miss the 217 crawl, and the I5 sprawl, and crowed malls.

The thing is, with global warming, we should outlaw snow tires. They are simply not needed.

We got 1/2 inch here in Mulino, then the sun came out, it warmed up and all melted away. I feel cheated…although, on the bright side, our roads are clear and dry.

    It’s bloody cold though.

Going out now with the hatchet to chip ice off the surfaces of all the water troughs for the livestock…..

Once again we are treated to evidence that Subaru drivers don’t understand physics!
