Tim Smith for ORP Vice Chair

It is with great pride and humility that I announce that Governor Vic Atiyeh has joined Dr Knute Buehler in the endorsement of my candidacy for the Vice Chair of the Oregon Republican Party. Governor Victor G. Atiyeh was our last real Governor of the People.

Below is the note Governor Atiyeh sent me today to support my run for ORP Vice Chair:

It is wonderful that you are wishing to continue as Vice-Chairman of our party. Your  experience and philosophy make you a first class candidate and I am pleased to support your efforts. As we move forward over the years–we will need all the wisdom we can get. That is where you come in.

Great men like Vic Atiyeh and Knute Buehler don’t need many words, they are measured by their actions and contributions to the lives of those whom they represent and govern. Governor Atiyeh has served Oregon with wisdom, compassion and integrity and continues to represent out Party with grace and personal character that is not readily found in today’s politicians.

This is the second time the Governor has endorsed me, the first being my run for Representative of HD 60. I am truly honored to have his continued support.

Thank You Governor and thank you Knute. Would that we had more men of your caliber in our nation today.

“Governor Victor G. Atiyeh was our last real Governor of the People.”

So the people who voted for all those democratic governors do not qualify as “the people?”

    Good luck with that attitude.
