The Hillsboro Argus has an article [2] today written by U.S. Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, where she advocates for programs to fight sexual and domestic violence. Given that Oregon has the second worst rate [3] in the U.S. of rape and sexual violence against women – it’s a very valid concern.
Better late than never for Rep. Bonamici. Back when her husband was making money defending sexual predator David Wu, Susanne Bonamici was silent [4] on the matter. Back then, Bonamici didn’t speak up for Wu’s sexual assault victims – even when other Democrats were, like Sen. Wyden and Sen. Merkley.
