FLASH! California upholds same sex marriage ban

Just announced minutes ago, KGW-8 reporting on the Associated Press. “The California Supreme Court has upheld a voter-approved ban on same-sex marriage, but it also decided that the estimated 18,000 gay couples who tied the knot before the law took effect will stay wed.”. Full story here.

    Gay marriage has to be the biggest, dumbest non-issue issue out there. Why is it within the scope of government to recognize marriage or any other relationship?

      I don’t know, they regulate how much water you can use to flush the toilet, might as well regulate every other aspect of your life.

      Frankly for conservatives to be honest on this issue they should urge government to get out of the marriage business.

      For liberals to be honest on this issue they should get out of denial that they love controlling every aspects of a persons behaviour.

      I agree. The government should not be involved at all and would not be if we followed the constitution.
