Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality has released [1] the dates for the upcoming public comments on the proposed coal export project. The public hearings [2] are scheduled for Tuesday, July 9th in Hermiston and Portland.
According to the DEQ web site “The hearings will be divided into six two-hour sessions, and people can sign up for the session they wish to attend. Each session will accommodate 30 registered speakers. Public hearings will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.” The speaking slots at the hearings are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
