Oregon Republican Party Chair Art Robinson will be running a third time for U.S. Congress against Rep. Peter DeFazio in Oregon’s 4th Congressional District. Robinson was voted in as the new ORP Chair back in August when Suzanne Gallagher stepped down. Jeff Mapes at The Oregonian reported back in August that Art Robinson wasn’t ruling out another run for Congress.

Republican Knute Buehler may be getting closer to announcing a run to replace state Rep. Jason Conger. Buehler announced back in mid-October that he had formed a PAC to explore running for the Oregon House of Representatives in HD 54 – to replace current Rep. Jason Conger, who is running for U.S. Senate. The Oregonian reported this week that Buehler moved into HD 54 a couple of weeks ago. He had lived in HD 54 for 14 years before redistricting shifted him out of the district last year. Buehler ran for Oregon Secretary of State last year where he garnered endorsements from 11 of 13 prominent Oregon news publications.

Republican Duane Stark has filed to run to replace state Rep. Dennis Richardson in HD 4. Rep. Richardson is running for governor. Stark’s campaign Facebook page says that he has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Oregon and a Masters Degree from Multnomah University. He now works as a pastor in Grants Pass.
