Portland, Oregon: Today the Dr. Monica Wehby for U.S. Senate campaign announced that they have raised $501,353 in the fourth fundraising quarter of 2013.  The figure is all the more impressive considering that Dr. Wehby announced her candidacy on October 29th, 2013 leaving her only the months of November and December to fund-raise.  The donations span over 160 cities and towns across Oregon.

In addition to her impressive fundraising haul, Dr. Monica Wehby was also recently called, “The GOP’s best hope in the race” by TownHall magazine. MSNBC put her on their “Women to Watch in 2014” list. And the National Journal has placed Oregon on its “Most Vulnerable” U.S. Senate seats list naming Monica as part of the reasoning.

Only 33 percent of voters think Jeff Merkley deserves re-election according to the most recent poll.

Dr. Monica Wehby said “We are very happy that our message of opportunity for Oregonians is resonating. Everywhere I have traveled, from Hood River to Ontario to Klamath Falls to Medford to the coast, I have been honored by the enthusiasm people have shown for my candidacy. Thank you to all my supporters who have brought us one step closer to having a voice that represents middle class working families in the United States Senate next year.”
