Salem, OR – A group representing nearly 300 businesses from across the state of Oregon has named Jackie Winters (R-Salem) as the candidate they trust to be a champion for job-creators in Oregon. The Oregon Business Association announced their endorsement of Jackie Winters for Senate District 10 this week.

The Oregon Business Association called Winters a “candidate of distinction who continues to champion OBA’s mission to achieve balanced policy solutions to strengthen quality of life and the state’s long-term economic competitiveness.”

Winters is a small business owner and knows the challenges and needs of job-creators in Oregon. Last year she helped pass the largest small business tax cut in Oregon history. She also introduced and passed legislation to protect small business owners from predatory patent trolls.

“Oregon businesses large and small need to be treated equally, and need to be given the tools necessary to grow,” said Winters. “When Oregon businesses grow, families have abundant career opportunities that offer individuals ways to grow and succeed. I’m proud to be endorsed by the Oregon Business Association.”

Senator Jackie Winters was first elected to the legislature in 1998 and has become a respected leader by both sides of the aisle. She is known for solutions-oriented leadership and hard work. Winters is recognized for her heart and compassion for children and families, and has become a much sought after expert on issues related to the state’s health care services.
