Two disheartening Oregon vet stories

Today it made national news that an Oregon Army captain has pleaded guilty to stealing $700,000 from the government during his tour in Iraq. Part of the funds were designated for humanitarian relief. Also, this month a former Iraq soldier was sentenced to the Oregon State Hospital after a murder conviction. The soldier was one of the first to register a claim for post traumatic stress syndrome. Both situations show how war can bring out the worst in people.
