Does any living, thinking, person actually watch that show?

The actress who voiced the character was down syndrome herself. This was her statement responding the Palin’s objection:

*”My name is Andrea Fay Friedman. I was born with Down syndrome. I played the role of Ellen on the “Extra Large Medium” episode of Family Guy that was broadcast on Valentine’s day. Although they gave me red hair on the show, I am really a blonde. I also wore a red wig for my role in ” Smudge” but I was a blonde in “Life Goes On”. I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line “I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska” was very funny. I think the word is “sarcasm”.

In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes.”*

She certainly could have turned down the roll, but she decided to believe she is normal just like us. It is folks like Palin who choose to point out that we are different.

Oh, gee, the person making the smear defends it. And this proves, what, exactly? The whores who allow themselves to be exploited by Howard Stern and “Girls Gone Wild” shows are happy to come out and say they are empowered by what they do – does this negate any and all criticisms from concerned parents who don’t want to see their daughters treated like that?

I wouldn’t mind rubbing suntan lotion all over her and her oldest daughter…

Palin, what an F-in retard! This new found politcal correctness coming from the family of Trent Lott, Jesse Helms and Strom Thurmond. Crocodile tears anyone?

I am a conservative, but I do not support Sarah Palin. Her resignation made no sense, and this video just confirms my belief in not supporting her. If she is to be president, you are going to have MUCH bigger problems than what a cartoon says about you. If you can’t take the heat, don’t get in the kitchen.

    “I am a conservative, but”

That right there is how liberal trolls usually begin…

    • valley p

That’s right. One cannot be a “conservative but.” Its all in or nothing. Park your brain at the door and read the script. Strays are not welcome.

    • Ted

Okay, you are welcome to address the point that I made.

I still wonder why she brings out the wrath of the far left wing wacko’s. Again if she is so stupid you should be encouraging her to speak out more. Unfortunately for you wack jobs, she only brings out the best side of you. Which isn’t very pleasant.

    • valley p

You may interpret it as wrath, but I see more bemusement tinged with fear. Bemusement that anyone would take her seriously as presidential timber given what comes out of her mouth, and fear that under the right (wrong) circumstances she could manage to get herself elected.

She isn’t stupid. She is above average intelligence and plenty smart enough to cash in on folks naive enough to think she can lead them back in time and space to wherever it is they think they want to go. She is a modern Aimee Simple McPherson, and there are a thousand suckers born every minute. No one ever went broke underestimating the gullibility of the American people.

I detest Sarah Palin and her politics, but ridiculing her and her child for being developmentally disabled is despicable.
