Oregon Senate GOP Leader Ted Ferrioli on Revenue Forecast

Sen. Ted Ferrioli

Oregon Senate Republicans

Salem, Ore. – Yesterday, Senate Republican Leader Ted Ferrioli (R-John Day) released the following statement following a December revenue forecast predicting a slight short term increase in revenues while alerting Oregon to a sputtering economy and struggling manufacturing industry:

“Today’s revenue forecast reveals a looming financial challenge for Oregon as Democrat spending spirals out of control,” said Senator Ferrioli. “With unsustainable pay raises for public employee unions and Democrat leadership’s unwillingness to fix a broken PERS system, the inability of Democrat leaders to stay within a budget is depleting Oregon’s reserve funds and forcing Oregonians into the false choice of having to vote in the largest tax increase in Oregon history or cut funding to needed services.”
