Oregon ‘Short Session’ ends – 78th Legislative Assembly

Oregon’s 78th Legislative Assembly adjourned the 2016 Regular Session “Sine Die” at 1:07 p.m. today in Salem.

This 2016 Regular Session was the shorter session of the 78th Legislative Assembly, lasting about a month. It began on February 1, 2016.

Last year’s 2015 Regular Session was the longer session of the 78th Legislative Assembly, lasting around six months. It ended on July 6, 2015.

Sine Die: “Without fixing a day for a future meeting”–the last day of a Legislative Session.
