First TV Ad by Scott Bruun for Congress

Press Release of Scott Bruun,

WEST LINN, Ore. – Today State Rep. Scott Bruun, candidate for Congress in Oregon’s 5th district, released his first television advertisement of the general election.Bruun’s advertisement reinforces his message of fiscal sobriety and private sector job creation. The advertisement can be found here. “Oregonians know the reckless spending and misguided agenda coming out of Washington, DC isn’t working,” Alee Lockman, Scott Bruun for Congress spokeswoman, stated. “Kurt Schrader has chosen Nancy Pelosi over Oregonians time and time again, and his constituents know it’s time for a change. Scott Bruun will be an advocate for the 5th district, and he’s ready to stop Democrats’ out-of-control spending and get Oregonians back to work.”

Script for Bruun TV ad, “Broken”

SCOTT BRUUN: “Washington, DC. It’s broken. Oregonians need jobs. More spending is not the answer. I’m Scott Bruun. In Congress, I’ll stop the reckless spending and focus on getting people back to work. I’ll end the pork barrel spending, work for a balance budget amendment, and put a stop to Wall Street bailouts. And I believe that $500 billion in cuts to Medicare is wrong and hurts our seniors. I’m Scott Bruun, and I approve this message because I’ll stop the spending and get Oregon back to work.”

Bruun is running for the seat currently held by first-term Democrat Congressman Kurt Schrader. A member of the House Budget Committee, Schrader has proven himself a reliable supporter of House Democrat leadership, voting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi over 97 percent of the time.

Scott Bruun is a businessman and three-term Oregon legislator. Bruun and his wife of 16 years, Alison, have two young daughters and live in Clackamas County. They are active in local charitable, sports and church activities.

I saw the ad on NBC News last night. Scot wins the glam-guy award, but not sure voters will side with him against Scharders record unless they knew where Bruun stands. As with most commercial they say little.
