Oregon Tea Party Announces Formation of Oregon Tea Party PAC Schedules October 30 Kickoff Event
By Oregon Tea Party

Portland, OR – The Oregon Tea Party announces the formation of its State and Federal Political Action Committees. To commemorate the finalization of official PAC status, a kickoff event will be held Saturday, October 30, 2010 from 10:30am to 12:00am at the Beavercreek Armory, 23574 NW Clara Lane, Hillsboro, OR 97124.

Oregon Tea Party Founder, Geoff Ludt, expressed elation at the milestone achievement saying, “I believe this will move the Tea Party forward in the state of Oregon in a way that will allow us to have an increased tangible effect on the political process. We previously moved from ‘I Should’ to ‘I Will’. We now are able to say, ‘I will become actively involved in the political landscape in Oregon to promote Constitutionally-sound candidates at all levels of public office’. We are here to stay, and we intend to continue being a force.”Ludt states that the public is invited to attend the October 30th kickoff event. The agenda will feature special guests, including US Senate Candidate Jim Huffman, as well as local activists. “This will be a great opportunity for grassroots volunteers to get involved,”
Ludt continued. “We are moving beyond rallies to real involvement in Oregon politics. I’m especially thrilled to have Mr. Huffman address our group; his candidacy is focused on a return to the US Constitution, which is exactly what we’ve been fighting for over the past 2 years.”

Ludt specifically praises the hard work of former Congressional Candidate John Kuzmanich in getting this effort off the ground. Said Kuzmanich, “The bottom line for the Tea Party Movement is that it’s all about you and me. We must take back control of our government from the ruling elites in the ivory towers who no longer answer to the voters. We’re their bosses, not the other way around. It’s about time they answered to us – this is our mechanism to force them to do just that.”

All Oregonians who are interested in promoting limited government and personal liberty are invited to attend the kickoff event.
