Yes, the Republicans control more acres of dirt. We already knew that.

It would be nice to know what the map depicts.

The red depicts where people are perpetually mad and the blue depicts where people are situationally sad.

    AMAZING!!!

The tsunami goes well beyond national offices. If anything the impact at the local level was even greater.

Republicans picked up control of both houses in Alabama, Maine, Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Wisconsin. Say what? Wisconsin New Hampshire and Maine. MAINE, WOW.

Republicans picked additional chambers in Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Montana, Ohio, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania.

The North Carolina Legislature had been D since 1870. Yes, that is Eighteen Seventy. The Alabama Legislature is Republican for the first time since 1876.

The Texas and Tennessee Houses went from virtually tied to massive Republican gains.

Republicans picked up the State Houses in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, Iowa, and Montana.

Meanwhile the People, TEA party, and 912ers turn attention to the 2012 primary for Corker(TN), Hatch (UT), Hutchison (TX), Lugar (IN), and Wicker (MS). Establishment Republicans take notice, the people are coming.

In the general election more than 20 D’s be ready. Casey (PA.), Brown (Oh), McCaskill (Mo.), Tester (Mont.), Bill Nelson (Fl), Kohl (Wis), Feinstein (CA), and Webb (Va.).

The People are coming to take back the Senate seats which belong to the people.

eagle eye the red are Republican congressional districts the blue Democrat districts.

VP, you have mistaken the emotions. Its not clinging to bibles or as Obama said punishing his enemies. Progressives turn anger into rage with all that word implies.

Pelosi, Reid and Obama exploited every opportunity to display arrogance and exercise reckless political power. The people transformed anger into determination.

Anonymous it’s not just about dirt. It’s also a whole lot of state capitals.

“Pelosi, Reid and Obama exploited every opportunity to display arrogance and exercise reckless political power.”

We disagree. They legislated from the left of center position that Democrats hold in American politics. Republicans decided early on that they would be in total opposition, and that proved to be a good strategy. They couldn’t stop the Dems anyway, so why share the blame if things did not work out? Just gum up the works as best as you can and yell a lot. Mazeltov to them.

There is nothing arrogant about doing what you said you would do when you ran. The Dems said they would pass a health care bill and did, said they would re-regulate the financial industry and did, said they would pass cap and trade and came close, said they would do what needed to be done to rescue a fading economy and did, and so forth. They did not bring forth a single bill that was not in their program prior to the election, except for the emergency measures to keep the ship afloat. The election was largely a referendum on the lack of full effectiveness of those emergency measures and not much more.

And Republicans did the exact same thing under Bush. They legislated everything they said they would. Its called governing.

“The people” in this case John, is a swing of about 6%. Obama was elected with 53%. Republicans just got about that amount nationally. So essentially 6% of “the people” are “the people.” They decided the last 3 elections and will also decide the next one. You will need to figure out how to keep them on your side and we will need to figure out how to win them back. Its pretty simple no?

A little off topic here, but I am surprised to see blue in Utah.
