Ding!!! Republicans Slug It Out In Iowa Debate

The room full of Republican presidental candidates squared off for another debate in Iowa last night and looking at my score card … it was the Democrats who came out looking black and blue after repeated jabs from the entire panel on foreign policy, taxes, and health care. Who are the big winners and losers on your score card?

Here are some reviews …

Washington Post

Washington Times

The Oregonian Online (Opps … no mention that I could find … shocking that the big O didn’t give equal time for a nationally broadcasted debate!!!)

The debate was good and also full of great quotes such as our lovely friend McCain claiming that abortion is a national security issue. All in all I think it was great to see them all do so well. I also liked the fact that they showed the Iowa poll numbers at the beginning of the broadcast. As for the Fred Thompson absence as this will most likely be the last debate with 9 candidates he needs to either get in or say he is staying out, right now he is getting tons of free positive press without the ability to be attacked, which is a great media stratagy but eventually the base will realize that its nothing more than a strategy.

I agree! He needs to declare now, not Labor Day Weekend…….which is time it’s rumored he will.

Well being that his only purpose in life seems to steal Romney’s support I would much rather see him announce that he wont announce. However I could deal with a fair competition between the two.
