WW: Long Live Oregonians ads short-lived

Willamette Week (WW) is reporting [2] that Cover Oregon is pulling their “Long Live Oregonians” ads because the Cover Oregon “website is still not letting people apply for insurance.”

WW notes “That was short-lived, Oregonians.”

On top of the cost of the disastrous Cover Oregon website rollout, WW reported back in October [3] that the state had “doubled its nearly $10 million taxpayer-funded advertising” to “more than $21 million” just for the advertising that’s now being pulled.

Speaking on the disastrous and costly Cover Oregon rollout last month, former state Rep. Patrick Sheehan (R-Clackamas) quipped to the Portland Business Journal [4] “We’ve paid for a very expensive jingle.”

Now we won’t even have that.
