The Democratic National Committee (DNC) sent out a fundraising email [2] yesterday to Obama for America supporters asking them to donate so they can take control of the House of Representatives – to prevent Republicans from pursuing the “I-word”: impeachment.
The email states “Republicans are actually excited about the idea,” and has impeachment quotes from Sen. James Inhofe (OK), Rep. Michelle Bachmann (MN), Rep. Kerry Bentivolio (MI), and Rep. Blake Farenthold (TX).
Clicking on the email results in a follow-up email that includes this additional information on impeachment: “This year, Republicans held their first committee hearing on impeaching President Obama.”
Gallup is reporting [3] that President Obama’s weekly average approval rating is 40% – up slightly from its low point of 38% in October. President George W. Bush had a 42% approval rating at the same point in his second term.
