Rasmussen Reports poll:Huffman gains on Wyden
From Jim Huffman for Senate Press Release

One week after Oregon’s primary, Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate Jim Huffman has gained on Democratic incumbent Ron Wyden, according to a new poll released by Rasmussen Reports today. The May 24 poll had Jim Huffman at 38% and Ron Wyden at 51%. An earlier poll in mid February by Rasmussen Reports had the race at 49% Wyden/35% Huffman. “It’s a small gain, but significant,” said Jim Huffman. “This is the 20th straight election in Oregon in which Ron Wyden’s name has been on the ballot, and he barely cracks 50%. It shows how tired voters are of career politicians.”

The poll also showed that one out of five Oregon voters had a “very negative” view of Ron Wyden. Only one out of 25 voters responded similarly with regards to Jim Huffman.

Jim Huffman, a political newcomer, has been a professor of law at Lewis & Clark Law School since 1973, and served as Dean of the school from 1994 through 2006.
