KATU is reporting [1] the “deadline for Oregonians to register to vote or change your political party online [2] is 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, April 26. Any registration cards must be postmarked by Tuesday.”

KATU further notes “People can also take care of registration at their local county elections offices, and many are open until 5 p.m.” and that “Oregon has closed party elections, meaning if you want to vote for a particular president, candidate, governor or any other partisan office, you have to choose that political party. Unaffiliated voters cannot vote in Democratic or Republican primary races – only on issues or other non-partisan offices.”

As Oregon Catalyst reported previously [3], Oregon ballots drop tomorrow, April 27. That’s the day ballots will start being mailed to Oregon voters residing in Oregon – for the May 17th Primary.

The majority of the voting will take place in the 3 weeks between tomorrow and May 17th.

The Voters’ Pamphlet for the May 17, 2016 Oregon Primary Election is available online [4].
