Measure 97 went down in flames with over a million voters (1,057,587) saying no — nearly 60% of the entire electorate (59% to 40%). The extraordinary work of Rebecca Tweed and Erica Hagedorn pulled off an amazing coalition effort — one that on election night they pledged would keep alive to keep Oregon small businesses and taxpayer families safe in the future from return threats of another disastrous tax.
