2 weird signs found at Iran protest

Over the weekend, we noticed two unusual protest signs.

One was calling Portland Congresswoman Maxine Dexter an agent of Israel.  This is despite her devoted progressive credentials and her defending Hamas by saying Israel was committing a holocaust against them.   The fact that Dexter received pro-Israel funds in her last race, may have made her unforgivable in some circles.

Another sign read, “U.S. out of everywhere.”  It listed Cuba as an example, which is odd because Cuba is one of the greatest human rights violators in the entire world.

The other flag of note is the Philippines.  This is sad, because Filipinos have a nearly 80 to 90% approval rating for the United States.   The United States helped liberate the Philippines from Imperial Japan, which killed a half million during WWII.   After that, the United States helped the Philippines to fight and win over communist guerrilla rebels that went on for decades.   The United States even helped the Philippines end slavery in 1905.  Right now, China has been trying to occupy some of their islands with hostile force.  Why are these protesters angry at China?

We would say, the United States and the Philippines have had a great relationship.
