First impressions on the first Gov. debate

Last Friday was the first Governor’s debate. Article Here. Both candidates were aggressive. Also on the heels of the debate Senator Ben Westlund claimed he had enough signatures to qualify as an independent, and he is demanding that he be included.

How did each candidate do? Should Westlund be included or wait until he has poll numbers? Is this debate a primer for what the fall will look like? Please comment.

  • Kulongoski’s strategy appears to be attacking Ron Saxton for having clients who are large businesses. It seems Ted is assuming that the average Oregonian lusts to tear down businesses like some bizzare repeat of the French Revolution. Well the king is not the likes of Nike or Columbia Sportswear — the King is the Governor himself.

Post it note on Westlund: He only has a few signatures above the limit, 2 early 2 do press releases, mind him.
