It is a sad day in America when more people can name the five members of the Simpson’s family than the five freedoms that the First Amendment protects. The McCormick Tribute Freedom Museum released poll results showing that one in four Americans could name all five members of the cartoon family the Simpsons from Homer to Maggie but only one in a thousand could name all five freedoms. Can you?
Here is a hint, a majority of Americans could at least name one Freedom the First Amendment protects, Freedom of Speech. The really sad thing is that 31% did not even know that! And we wonder why some people think health care is a right..
