Tax Reform Breakthrough

In an unprecedented move, all three major party presidential candidates (Clinton, Obama and McCain) have agreed to take tax reform off the presidential debate table by issuing the following joint proposal:

April 1st Joint Tax Reform Proposal

“We know Americans want simplicity in their tax system, and we are responding. Whichever one of us is elected President in November, Congress will be asked to enact the following Tax Reform Plan, which reduces every American’s tax return to just two lines:

1. How much money did you make last year?

2. Send it in.

Happy April 1st.

    Don’t give them any Ideas!

I’ve always liked the tax on foreign nationals living abroad.

John, under the April 1st Joint Tax Reform Proposal, we won’t have to tax “other people” as you suggest. We’ll simply use all the income from every American living and working here to fund government services. Only if this revenue proves insufficient will we need to reach out and touch foreigners.

Now, see, that explains the sense of urgency in the search for extraterrestrial life, doesn’t it?

The government has no business knowing how much income you make. I would rather see a national sales tax – capped at 15%. The government needs to reduce spending to reflect 15% national revenue from sales. That should be enough to fund national defense. All other programs get eliminated over time.

This way, everyone who buys goods ends up contributing their fair share – even the bums in the streets. No hiding income, no protected classes, no feee rides. You buy – you pay.

    Grosso for President

Grosso for President? Limbaugh for his VP?
