First impressions on the first Gov. debate

Last Friday was the first Governor’s debate. Article Here. Both candidates were aggressive. Also on the heels of the debate Senator Ben Westlund claimed he had enough signatures to qualify as an independent, and he is demanding that he be included.

How did each candidate do? Should Westlund be included or wait until he has poll numbers? Is this debate a primer for what the fall will look like? Please comment.
