The Water Resources Department is sitting on a slush fund of more than $4.3 million. That is more than half of their total two year budget.

Democrats are proposing a $100 fee on water right holders to collect an additional $16.5 million for the Water Resources Department. Democrats are also pushing $800 million in new taxes on Oregon businesses.
