Sign up now to comment on coal exports

Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality has released the dates for the upcoming public comments on the proposed coal export project. The public hearings are scheduled for Tuesday, July 9th in Hermiston and Portland.

According to the DEQ web site “The hearings will be divided into six two-hour sessions, and people can sign up for the session they wish to attend. Each session will accommodate 30 registered speakers. Public hearings will take place from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.” The speaking slots at the hearings are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
