A challenge by opponents to change the ballot title of Oregon Petition #35 was rejected.  Now proponents of petition #35 are free to circulate, although the window between now and July 8 is extremely small.   They legally need to gather some 110,000+ signatures, but to be safe a campaign needs to get around 140,000 for all the technical errors that are used to disqualify tens of thousands of signatures on a petition.  The chief backs of the petition, grocers, will decide soon on whether to proceed.
