Dueling Dem/GOP agendas look funny side-by-side

The Central Oregon Daily put both press releases from the Oregon Senate Democrat Caucus and the Oregon Senate Republican Caucus side-by-side.

The Democrat side shows how simple and concise they are at their messaging compared to  wordy Republicans.  Then again, if you look closely, the Democrat agenda doesn’t actually provide details or say exactly what they plan to do, whereas Republicans provide actual bill numbers.

How generic and unspecific is the Democrat pledge to “balance the budget without cutting critical services” when the budget is already balanced and flooded with billions in surplus funds?   How generic is “taking on the drug crisis” or “Setting Oregon students to succeed”?

This captures the two different styles of the two political parties in Oregon.
