Portland can’t enforce camp ban (broke after hand-outs)

It turns out that after Portland/County spent tens of millions of tax dollars to award free things to homeless (free tents, free crack pipes, free $500 debit cards, free tarps, free food, free clothes, free chapstick, free needles) that there is no no money to enforce the the ban on camping.  They’ve attracted so many homeless that there is no room in shelters and they defunded police so there is not enough officers to make arrests or process illegal campers.

KGW-TV headline says it all, “Lack of resources restricts Portland’s ability to fully enforce its homeless camping ban”
