Monique DeSpain Launches TV Ad in the OR-04 Congressional Race Focused on Public Safety

Oregon Extreme Politicians Caused Crime & Drug Crisis, D.C. Politicians’ Open Border Made It Worse, DeSpain Will Be Independent Voice For a Safer Oregon
By Monique DeSpain for Congress

Eugene, OR – Monique DeSpain’s campaign for Oregon’s Fourth Congressional District announced the launch of a new TV ad spot targeting general election voters focused on Public Safety. The ad is running on broadcast and cable TV, OTT/disconnected cable, and Digital platforms.

“Nearly every voter I speak with tells me that they feel their communities have become less safe these past few years and that extreme policies are to blame. The career politician currently representing us in Congress, Val Hoyle, has made things worse with her support for an open border and by voting to defend the dangerous policies out of D.C. that are inviting criminal gangs, fentanyl, human smugglers, and terrorists into our country,” said DeSpain.

“I’m not a career politician. I’m a retired Air Force Colonel who held a top-secret clearance, and I know what national security is and how to deliver it. I will be an independent voice for Oregon in Congress who will deliver commonsense solutions to secure our border and end these deadly crises,” added DeSpain. “A safer future is what the people of Oregon’s 4th District expect and deserve. It is the right thing to do, and I will make it happen.”

In late July, DeSpain was named to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Young Guns Program, which recognizes a handful of the strongest Republican challenger campaigns in the country. This past May, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee moved Val Hoyle to its “Frontline” list of vulnerable incumbents, a powerful sign of Hoyle’s weakness versus the strong challenge being offered by GOP nominee DeSpain. DeSpain has challenged Hoyle to six debates in six counties in the 4th District, to which Hoyle has so far failed to agree. During the past month, DeSpain launched her first TV ad highlighting voters from all walks of life who have had enough of career politicians and a second TV Ad emphasizing that Oregon is trouble and that she’s ready to serve again to bring the bold new leadership voters need in D.C.
