Measure 118: Four ways they blow the rebate checks

By Taxpayers Association of Oregon

Our final pitch against Measure 118 is to remind voters that the rebate checks go to extremely controversial people such as;

– Dead people.  Oregonians who lived one day in the previous year will get a rebate check even though they are dead.

– Everyone in prison. They are considered Oregon residents and will receive a check.

– Homeless.  It will be an incentive for California homeless to move to Oregon for some 200 days to get a rebate check.

Street addicts.  Giving a $1,600 rebate check to an addict, may be the thing that ends up killing them.
