Oregon State auditors flag spending issues in Kotek’s office

As our majority party gloats about raising taxes – their leader is currently under fire for mismanagement of funds – the irony of the timing is almost humorous.

State auditors recently found through anonymous complaints that our Governor was being a little liberal with our taxpayer funds.

Here are some examples of issues flagged:

  • Queen concert tickets
  • Parking costs in Washington D.C.
  • Catering services at the Governor’s mansion
  • Tickets to the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus and more!

Our most unpopular Governor in the nation continues to not do herself any favors. Instead of gloating about raising taxes on our residents, I call on our Supermajority to denounce these out-of-control spending habits and work to improve the popularity of their highest-ranking official.
