The estate behind the late and former owner Paul Allen has announced that the Portland Trail Blazers are up for sale.  The media is reporting that possible buyers are Nike founder, Phil Knight, Columbia Sportswear CEO Tim Boyle and even Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.

The Blazers were bought for $70 million by Paul Allen, and now the franchise is worth $3.5 billion by some estimates.

Oregon does not have that many billionaires (only three) to leverage that kind of money.

Furthermore, Oregon is a state that chases billionaires away as evidence of the recent protest signs in 2025.
