Rep. Drazan statement on Minnesota shooting

HOUSE REPUBLICAN LEADER STATEMENT ON POLITICAL ASSASSINATION, SHOOTING OF MINNESOTA STATE LEADERS

SALEM, Ore. – Today, House Republican Leader Christine Drazan (R-Canby) released the following statement in response to the assassination of Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark, and the shooting of State Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette:

“I am horrified and sickened by the targeted, political assassination and shooting of elected leaders and their spouses in Minnesota last night. The America we love is wounded by these acts of violence. I pray for the families and loved ones of Rep. Melissa Hortman, her husband Mark, and for a swift recovery for Sen. John Hoffman and his wife Yvette.”
