Kotek’s 2 top campaign issues are odd

When Oregon Governor Kotek announced her run for governor last month, she led with protecting vote-by-mail and fighting the president. With the state issuing 51 lawsuits against the president, we suppose Kotek and the attorney general have over-delivered. Kotek’s New Year’s message is the same.

Interestingly, both of Kotek’s campaign pledges are defensive issues.  This removes her from a strategic prime position of actually offering positive solutions, ideas, reforms, or tangible benefits to voters.
