An Oregon federal judge, Mustafa Kasubhai, made a ruling opposing a presidential administration request to view the state’s unredacted voter rolls.

The federal government has an interest in knowing who votes because these individuals vote for federal offices — Congress, U.S. Senate, President.

The Oregon Elections Office has already discovered a number of non-citizen voters which upon further investigation ballooned to over 1,500.   That investigation was abruptly ended, raising questions.

The Oregon Elections Office has just recently removed 800,000 voters from the rolls it believes are inactive voters.

There should be a way to provide federal oversight on who is voting in Oregon elections.
