Lars Larson: Jacking fees on an unconstitutional gun bill

The Northwest Nonsense

I guess you have to give it to those busy democrats lawmakers in Salem .

They never let public opposition get in the way of what they’re doing.

Consider their latest gun law approved on party lines in the House.

It modifies the effective date of citizen approved Measure 114.

Except THAT law was declared unconstitutional by a circuit Judge and now the Oregon Supreme Court is trying to figure out a way to declare it Constitutional.

114 bans ALL gun purchases by Oregonians, unless they pass a class that’s not available to get a permit that doesn’t yet exist.

Oregon’s state constitution seems very clear to me “”The people shall have the right to bear arms for the defence [sic] of themselves,”

Not much wiggle room but wait till you see the kind of legal gymnastics supreme court Justices can perform when they’re all appointed by Democrats.

The new law jammed thru by democrats this week dramatically jacks up the permit fees of a law that hasn’t even gone into effect yet.

It won’t stop criminals with guns but it’s surely going to get in the way of average citizens who want to protect themselves.

And that’s especially important these days: liberals  in Oregon have been defunding the cops, disabling DA’s, and setting loose criminals from prison.

If you’re in Oregon and you don’t already own a gun, it’s probably too late

That’s the Rose City Rap.  Join me at noon on KXL for 4 hours of Honestly provocative talk.  I’m Lars Larson
