The great Charles Starr, former Senator, passes

The great man of the people, former Oregon State Senator Charles Starr, passed away this week.

He was a best friend of taxpayers back in the day (1990s+) when he served as State Representative and State Senator.   He was the most approachable and welcoming of all the lawmakers.    This is why so citizens and people needing help turned to him.   Charles Starr was  a man of the people.

He had a strong faith that was made very compelling by his good nature.

He was a faithful vote for low taxes and all liberty issues — especially education choice.

Senator Starr was someone you enjoyed being with and hoped to inspire to be.  He already is missed.

— His son, Bruce Starr, is the Senate Republican leader in the Oregon Senator , and carries much of the same integrity and honesty as his great, late father.
