Last year, Oregon Governor Tina Kotek rammed a $4.3 billion gas tax through the Legislature, despite bipartisan opposition, as she declared that State Government was broke, and could not cut a penny, and without the gas tax hike she could not keep our roads safe.

After citizens forced the issue to the ballot with the gas tax referendum (thank chief petitioners Senator Bruce Starr, Representative Ed Diehl and Jason Williams of Taxpayers Association), suddenly Kotek had a change of heart and FOUND $248 million in savings.

Closes 100 vacant positions.  Why are taxpayers funding 100 empty jobs?
Steers $108 million of new pedestrian infrastructure, aviation, marine and rail projects towards existing road maintenance.  We can’t spend money on new projects if we neglect the maintenance on the old ones.
Steers $85 million in discretionary federal funding towards ODOT expenses.
Closes down certain electric vehicle charging station projects.

This is more reason to vote NO on Measure 120.
