By Christine Drazan for Governor campaign,

SALEM, Ore. – Senator Christine Drazan (R-Canby), candidate for governor, released the following statement after Governor Tina Kotek announced Oregon Health Authority Director Dr. Sejal Hathi will resign effective August 1.

“Dr. Hathi made the right decision to step aside. The Oregon Health Authority is the state’s largest agency, and with that responsibility should come leaders who are focused on the job, welcome accountability, and are willing to work with everyone to solve problems. As governor, I will appoint leaders who put Oregonians first, and I won’t hesitate to fire ineffective agency heads who aren’t delivering results.”
