Hillsboro health vote a reveal for RFK Jr

This month, Hillsboro voters rejected fluoridation of their water by a wide margin when they defeated local Hillsboro Measure 34-338 by 58% of the vote.

The large opposition is a cross-political hybrid of environmentalists, libertarians, health-minded parents, limited government conservatives and a growing population of independent health advocates critical of many governmental and corporate policies.   The health issues may change, but they have strong uniting power among these groups.  The media finds it hard to put such disparate groups into a single box, and at times reverts to stereotypes.

RFK Jr is among the national leading voice in this type of untraditional political coalition.  To show how untraditional RFK JR. is, consider the fact that he was on the short list by Obama for the Department of Health.

Stay tuned to see how this develops.
