The telling sign at the Hulk Hogan tribute

Hulk Hogan became one of the most internationally recognized American figures and a symbol of the 1980s decade.  One of his slogans was “Train. Eat your vitamins. Say your prayers. Be true to yourself and your country” as seen by a sign at his tribute to honor his passing this week.

These slogans represent the period of the 1980s when America was bursting with pride, patriotism, optimism and good-naturedness in the Ronald Reagan era.  A recent study of music lyrics over 70 years revealed that there were only two decades (1950s, 1980s) that contained periods where the most popular songs on the top 100 billboard were represented by positive and hopeful lyrics.  It was a positive spirit that ran through the country at every level.

Hulk Hogan was an example of the times on how it was cool to be good.

Not every rock star or celebrity has to be about trashing the system and society. This is so opposite both modern cancel culture and oppression politics where everything is 100% bad, 100% of the time.

Hulk Hogan was an example of the times on how it was cool to patriotic.

Hulk Hogan was an example of the times on how it was cool to share your faith.

He was a man who reflected the best of his times.  I hope we all do the same.

P.S. America’s 250th Birthday is approaching.  Are you ready?  Is Oregon ready?  Big plans are hatching, stay tuned on this website for more details soon.
